From 1–4 October 2026, communities around the world are invited to organise public astronomy activities as part of this international celebration coordinated by the IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach.

This year, IAU has introduced a very interesting and different theme, “A New Perspective on the Solar System”, which will enrich our ideas and views on our home, the Solar System. This will also guide us to explore how space missions, new observations and scientific research continue to transform what we know about our cosmic neighbourhood.

Join this global celebration of Astronomy, where ideas and knowledge will be exchanged and shared among many people through your words and visions.
