About the Event
“Under One Sky” is a virtual event created to celebrate Equal Day 2026. It falls within the official March 18–23 observation window. The event uses the wonder of the night sky to promote equality, peace, diversity, sustainability, and empathy. Because of the Eid vacation, the event cannot be held offline and is going fully digital. This virtual format makes the event open and accessible to everyone, encouraging conversation across cultures and fields of study.
Key Activities
- Virtual Equinox Gathering: This will be a live online session on Google Meet focusing on the Equinox. Participants from different backgrounds will come together to discuss the Equinox in different cultures and how different fields connect us.
- “Message of Peace” Digital Gallery: We are mixing science with art by asking students from science, engineering, and art programs to photograph their local equinox sky. Participants will use graphic design to professionally overlay text and messages of global unity onto their images. The best artworks will be displayed on Social Media and our Website.
Event Highlights
- Promote Empathy and Equality: A core objective is to remind participants that we all share the same sky, no matter where we live.
- Connect Science and the Arts: The event brings together STEM and creative disciplines to show how both enrich our understanding of the world.
How to Participate
- Register: Participants can sign up through the official registration form, which will also act as the collection point for sky photos.
